Nice to meet you, Macro
All the while, we're shooting like nobody business with our digital camera (DC) best in indoor events or outdoor activities, without knowing the features & abilities of our DC.
Well, here's some short review of the feature called 'Macro', which presented as a flower icon on our DC.
I believed these features should already built-in in many basic DC currently in markets.
It enables us to snap close up object within 3 - 50cm away from your DC. Therefore, many photographers will enable this feature when shooting on flowers, insects & all kind of tiny object.
How to start?
Firstly, turn on the Macro feature (a flower icon indication will display on the digital viewfinder).
Secondly, focus on the object within 3 - 50cm.
Thirdly, press the snap button half tone (dont fully press) & hold for 3 secs while your DC will autofocus on the object (I'm expecting your DC are autofocus enabled).
Finally, if you feel comfortable with the object showing on the viewfinder, snap/fully press on the snap button to get the photo of the object. Otherwise, repeat 2nd steps.
Below are the sample photo, which I took at Sekinchan padi fields with my Canon IXUS 40.

So, please try it now & you will feel proud of it as what you have done.
